Working independently or in partnership with other marketing service providers, Gail has managed research and planning projects for many organizations. Her client list includes educational institutions from large public universities and small private colleges to independent schools, professional associations and nonprofit organizations. In addition, Gail has conducted marketing research for a diverse list of clients from the for-profit sector.
Qualitative research capabilities
As a “moderator for hire,” Gail Straus uses her listening skills to garner input on a host of topics with diverse audiences. Gail serves as a focus group moderator, in-depth interviewer (in-person, online or by telephone) and facilitator to bring customer voice to conversations regarding areas such as creative testing, brand perceptions, website usability or product development. Through objective qualitative research, clients eliminate assumptions about what customers, members or users want, how they define terms, or how they see themselves interacting with organizations.
For recent projects, Gail has generated insights for clients with audiences as diverse as high school counselors (The College Board and the University of Illinois Springfield), Medicare and Marketplace recipients (Molina Healthcare), expectant and new mothers (Medela breast pumps), graduate school alumni (Institute for Clinical Social Work), small business owners (McCullough Rossi Accounting) and pediatricians (American Academy of Pediatrics).
